On-device speech

Your voice is recognised on your Mac by Apple’s on-device speech recognition. Audio is never recorded or uploaded.

What do I need to run Noty?

A Mac with macOS 11 Big Sur or later. Noty runs natively on Apple silicon and on Intel Macs. You need a microphone and an internet connection for AI answers.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your notes, reminders, memory and mail stay on your Mac. Speech for Memory is recognised on your Mac. Only the text a request needs is sent for AI processing. It is never used for ads or to train AI models.

Which AI does Noty use?

Noty uses OpenAI models to understand requests and plan tasks, ElevenLabs to speak in natural voices, and Apple’s on-device speech recognition to listen.

How much does it cost?

Noty is free (£0) while it is in beta, with fair daily limits. A Pro plan with higher limits is coming. Pro will be priced in pounds (£ GBP). Join the waitlist to hear first.

Which languages does Noty speak?

English today, with British and Australian voices. More languages are planned.

Can Noty send or delete my email?

No. Gmail is connected with read-only access. Noty can read and sort mail, but it can never send, change or delete it.

Is the app safe to install?

Yes. Noty is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so macOS checks it before it opens.
